Please note: In the New Year, our talks will be held on Wednesday nights rather than Thursdays as previously.


Thursday 16 November: Dublin Bay: nature and history, by Richard Nairn, who will be signing copies of his new book on Dublin Bay. Botanic Gardens Auditorium, 8.00pm (doors open 7.30pm, car park open).


Saturday 18 November: Car outing to Kilcoole and East Coast Nature Reserve. Meet at Botanic gardens, 9.30am, or Kilcoole railway station, 10.30am. Call Dermot if you need a lift.


Saturday 16 December: Bull Island walk. Meet on causeway at 11.30am. Call Dermot if you need a lift.


Wednesday 17 January: Northern Greece: an underwatched birders' paradise, by Philip Clancy (Tolka Branch). Botanic Gardens Auditorium, 8.00pm (doors open 7.30pm, car park open).


Saturday 20 January: Outing to West Pier, Dún Laoghaire. Meet Botanic Gardens, 9.30am, or base of pier, 10.00am. Call Dermot if you need a lift.


Wednesday 21 February: Are Irish birds reacting to climate change? Tom Cooney looks at the situation. Botanic Gardens Auditorium, 8.00pm (doors open 7.30pm, car park open).


Saturday 24 February: Outing to Dundalk Bay and other sites on Louth coast. Meet at Botanic Gardens, 9.00am, or Dundalk Port, 10.15am. Call Dermot if you need a lift.
