Our Clare branch invite you to join them for an outing to Ballyallia Lake to see a variety of Wildfowl & Waders. Some birds of prey may also be seen.
This will be an excellent outing for beginners.
Ballyalla Lake (also known as Ballyallia Lough) is a small lake on the River Fergus, north of the town of Ennis. In winter it is very good for wildfowl especially ducks. For example Northern Shoveler, Eurasian Wigeon, Northern Pintail, Common Pochard, Tufted Duck and Gadwall. And the lake hosts many species of waders on its wet meadowed shores.
