BirdWatch Ireland is a registered charity established to benefit the community and the public generally by the conservation, protection, and promotion of wild birds and their environment and by promoting education, research and encouragement of field studies.

Governance of BirdWatch Ireland

In carrying out our work to protect birds and biodiversity we aspire to the highest standards of governance and comply with The Governance Code for the Community, Voluntary and Charitable Sector in Ireland and meet the requirements set out in the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising.

Fundraising Principles

BirdWatch Ireland is committed to complying with the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising and has formally discussed and adopted the Statement at a meeting of the Board.

Donors’ Charter

As a charity seeking donations from the public BirdWatch Ireland complies with the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising. Our pledge is to treat all our donors with respect, honesty and openness.
