COVID-19 Emergency Fundraising Appeal
As you are probably aware, the COVID-19 crisis has caused great difficulties for charities across Ireland. BirdWatch Ireland is no different in this regard. Due to the restrictions introduced to curb the spread of the pandemic, we have suffered a number of serious setbacks:
- All of our fundraising and membership recruitment events for 2020 were cancelled
- Our shop had to close for months and is still not able to reopen to walk-in customers
- Many of our funded projects and surveys have been unable to proceed
The result has been a significant shortfall in funding for BirdWatch Ireland’s core conservation work.
During the height of the COVID-19 restrictions, birds became a wonderful source of entertainment, and indeed comfort, to a great many people. We’re asking you please to return the favour.
That’s why we are counting on you to support our COVID-19 Emergency Fundraising Appeal. All funds raised will go to support our vital work as Ireland’s largest and most active conservation charity. Please, give whatever amount you can afford.
