Restore Nature Appeal
Wild birds are indicators of the health of Ireland’s land and marine habitats and ecosystems. Two-thirds of our 202 regularly-occurring wild bird species are Red or Amber listed birds of conservation concern. Our alarm bells are going off because they are telling us that nature is in serious trouble in Ireland.
We need to restore habitats and ecosystems on farmland, peatlands, uplands, lakes, rivers and in our seas not only to support wild birds and other biodiversity but to help mitigate the impacts of climate change and to adapt to it.
Please help the advocacy team to do the following:
- Campaign for a strong nature restoration law at EU and national level
- Influence agriculture, forestry, peatland, fisheries and marine policies so that nature restoration is at their core.
- Build our advocacy team so our capacity is increased to influence national policies.
