Our Kildare branch invite you to join them for an outing to Anthony Mooney’s farm. Anthony Mooney farms close to Maynooth. The environment and especially our indigenous flora and fauna are always forefront in his mind. This year for example, Anthony had 20 acres under hay which was harvested after the Meadow Pipit and Skylark had finished nesting and their young had fledged. He also has 10 acres under oats and linseed which will not be harvested, but will be left for the birds to feed on over Winter. Anthony says it is an absolute pleasure to watch the comings and goings of all the wildlife throughout the year. And it will be our pleasure this Saturday 18th April to visit his farm. We will meet at 10:00 am in the Lidl car park, Maynooth and travel on from there. All are welcome.
