Our Limerick branch invite you to join them on an outing to Doon, Co Limerick to look for upland birds and migrants. please wear warm, dark clothing and strong footwear.

Doon is located about 3.5 km north west of Broadford in County Clare. This extensive woodland was one of the noted tourist attractions of 19th century Clare. The woodland surrounding the lake consist of birches, alder and the oak woodlands date back to 1850. Fauna include squirrels and pine marten. Many species of birds can be spotted including owl, Wood-Pigeon, Jay and other common small birds. On the water front are Swan Duck, Duck, Heron, Waterhen and Coot.
