Our Tipperary branch invite you to join them for An illustrated talk by John N Murphy about The Birds of Loop Head.
Loop Head is an excellent birdwatching destination due to its location on the coast, which attracts a wide variety of seabirds, migrating birds, and birds of prey. Key species include seabirds like puffins, guillemots, and gannets, as well as migratory birds such as Brent Geese and various sandpipers and skuas. Birdwatching is particularly popular during autumn migration, especially from August to October, when west and northwest winds bring many species closer to shore.
