Inch Lough is home to a diverse array of birds, particularly migratory species that gather in large numbers during the winter. Prominent species include swans (Mute, Whooper, and Bewick’s), various geese (Greylag, Brent, Barnacle, White-fronted), and ducks like the Gadwall and Tufted Duck. Waders are also common, especially at low tide, with species such as Curlew, Bar-tailed Godwit, and Redshank frequently seen.
