Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (the “AGM”) of the Irish Wildbird Conservancy (the “Company”) will be held at 7.00pm sharp on Tuesday, 17th June 2025. The meeting will be held online only, via Zoom. Holding the AGM in this manner, and notifying the members accordingly, is permitted under the Companies (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Covid 19) Act 2020.

Cape Clear Island, Ireland’s southernmost inhabited Gaeltacht island, 3 miles long by 1 mile wide, lies 8 miles off the coast of West Cork. 3 miles west of the island stands the solitary Fastnet Rock. Cape Clear’s remote island location, coupled with its proximity to the continental shelf, makes it the foremost centre for bird watching in Ireland. Join our Tolka branch for their May outing to Lough Boora Discovery Park and Surrounds. Over 130 bird species can be seen in Lough Boora Discovery Park, many of which are endangered red and amber listed species such as the Lapwing, Snipe, Redshank and many more on wetland habitats. The endangered Grey Partridge survive here in the natural grasslands and farmlands, and this is the only indigenous population of this bird species surviving in Ireland.
