Visit to Fanore and Caher Valley We will look for nesting birds in the sand-dunes and scan the sea for birds. Then we will stroll along the Caher Valley where we hope to encounter Dipper, Blackcap, White throat, Raven and Linnet Fanore's Gaelic meaning "fainne oir" means ring of gold, with reference to its beautiful sandy beach. The talk and presentation in the Botanic Gardens on Wednesday 16th April 2025 is "Tales of Rare Bird finds, by the Life of an Irish Birder" by Cian Cardiff starting at 7:45 PM and the car park and doors open at 7:30 PM and the car park is free. Cian has found many rare birds, particularly in Co. Wexford in Cahore and Tacumshin.
