BirdWatch Ireland is seeking to recruit a suitable person for the position of Bird Specialist for the Donegal Acres Cooperation Project. The post is for 4 days per week. Skills required include good knowledge of farmland birds, particularly breeding waders, Corncrake and Chough, excellent bird identification and experience of working with farmers. The post-holder should be based in Donegal.

Salary: This is a fixed-term contract for 4 days per week, with a gross salary of €30,400 per annum. The suitable applicant will be required to provide an average of 28 hours per week. Leave entitlement is 20 days per annum, pro rata, plus statutory holidays.

Duration: February 2023 to May 2028 (Project is subject to contract review in May 2025).
