The following are suggested sample wordings for testamentary dispositions in favour of BirdWatch Ireland. Please consult with your solicitor, attorney or legal advisor if you wish to include similar clauses in your will.
For a Pecuniary Bequest
To the Irish Wildbird Conservancy, trading as “BirdWatch Ireland” and having its registered office at Unit 20, Block D, Bullford Business Campus, Kilcoole, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, A63 RW83, Ireland, Charity Number CHY5703, Registered Company Number 116468, I give and bequeath the sum of (amount in words) for the general charitable purposes of the said organisation, the Irish Wildbird Conservancy, and the receipt of the Board of the Irish Wildbird Conservancy shall be sufficient discharge to my Executors.
For a Residuary Bequest
As to all the rest residue, and remainder of my Estate of whatsoever nature and wheresoever situate, I give devise and bequeath the same to the Irish Wildbird Conservancy, trading as “BirdWatch Ireland” and having its registered office at Unit 20, Block D, Bullford Business Campus, Kilcoole, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, A63 RW83, Ireland, Charity Number CHY5703, Registered Company Number 116468, for the general charitable purposes of the said organisation, the Irish Wildbird Conservancy, and the receipt of the Board of the Irish Wildbird Conservancy shall be sufficient discharge to my Executors.
For a Specific Bequest
To the Irish Wildbird Conservancy, trading as “BirdWatch Ireland” and having its registered office at Unit 20, Block D, Bullford Business Campus, Kilcoole, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, A63 RW83, Ireland, Charity Number CHY5703, Registered Company Number 116468, I give and bequeath my (State the specific item(s) you wish to leave to the Irish Wildbird Conservancy) for the general charitable purposes of the said organisation, the Irish Wildbird Conservancy, and the receipt of the Board of the Irish Wildbird Conservancy shall be sufficient discharge to my Executors.
