The Observatory building is nestled in north harbour of Cape Clear Island. This idyllic location is within easy reach of the main facilities of the island. Also an easy walk to some of Ireland’s best known birdwatching spots.
The building can take seven guests on a self-catering basis.There are three bedrooms, a twin, a small single and a ‘family’/group room with four beds. An extensive natural history library, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and shared bathroom facilities, provide for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Bed linen is provided. The Wildlife Officer lives in the observatory.
Price is €30/night per person or €27/night, if a BirdWatch Ireland member.
