An Outing to Cahore Marsh

Date: January 25, 2025
Time: 10:00 am
Location: Meet at Ballinoulart Bay Beach car park
Join our Wicklow branch for an outing to Cahore Marsh to look for Whooper Swans, Greylag Geese, Golden Plover, Blacktailed Godwits and other winter visitors. Cahore Marsh is located on the coast of Wexford about 20 Kilometres south of Gorey. It is an important wetland area in winter that attracts large numbers of wildfowl, gulls and waders. In summer there is less water and it is a haven for stonechats, meadow pipits, skylarks, warblers and many more. Cuckoos are common in late Spring and early summer.
