Join our Dublin Tolka branch for an outing to the County Louth Coast. Enjoy a day of spotting all there is to offer on this lovely east coast area. Dundalk is the county town of County Louth, Ireland. The town is on the Castletown River, which flows into Dundalk Bay on the east coast of Ireland. It is near the border with Northern Ireland, halfway between Dublin and Belfast. On an international level, the most important species to be found here are the whooper swan, golden plover, bar-tail godwit and greenland white fronted goose,” he says. The most important at a national level that would be visible around the harbour and Ballymac bar are the black-tail godwit (up to 2,000). lapwing (up to 1,200), light bellied brent goose (100s).”
